About Two Stone Lions

At Two Stone Lions Press, authors come first.

Sure, we like books too, but our authors are precious to us. They are talented, conscientious, and dedicated to creating books that inspire, lead, and teach.

Plus, each of our authors believed in us enough to trust us with the results of their work, their hopes, and their dreams.

We understand how significant that is.

We are in the business of supporting authors. When authors feel seen and heard, when their work matters as much to us as it does to them, when we’re there for them every day (and not just on release day), wonderful things happen.

Books get written sooner. Faster. Better. Partnerships and friendships flourish. Bonds grow until suddenly it’s not just about “me” or “you;” my book, or yours. It’s about us, as a group of artists who know magic happens when we work together and encourage each other.

At Two Stone Lions, we never forget each of our authors made a choice. They come to us with expectations, and we work hard to meet those expectations. We are constantly growing and evolving, staying in motion to clear the bar our authors have set—and continue to raise—for us.

Because we’re here for one reason: to provide a nurturing, caring place for authors to grow and thrive as they share their hearts and souls with their readers. And with us.

And that, right there, is a responsibility we never take lightly.

SRP provides standard services for our authors:

· Editing

· Proofreading

· Cover design

· Formatting

· Distribution

But we take it a little further. We also provide:

· A “new release” marketing plan tailored to each title and author.

· One-on-one brainstorming of branding, promotional ideas, and possibilities – anytime.

· Periodic meetings with our authors as a group, or one-on-one when we can.

But that’s not all . . . .

There is no better advocate for a unique product than the one who created it. This means, like it or not, the moment an author types “the end” and starts reaching out to publishers, that author has become an entrepreneur. The author is no longer in the business of writing the book. Now the author is in the business of convincing busy, overloaded readers to give their book a try.

Knowing how to reach out, engage, and build relationships with readers does not come naturally to all authors, and we understand that.

Some of our authors came to us with email lists. Some did not. Some came with inactive social media accounts. Some came with an idea of how to make connections and share their books, but felt there was room for improvement. Some came with no ideas and no plan—just a book and a dream.

And that is an unexpected gift—to us!

What a wonderful opportunity to support our authors even more! By working one-on-one to discover ways to reach readers that feel most comfortable for them, we’re able to help them turn their passion for writing into their own small business.

So we added more author services . . . .

· Learning to get a “feel” for how to find and connect with readers.

· Building an email contact list to stay in touch with those readers. (We’ll teach you! We may even do it for you!).

· Using social media in fun and useful ways to reach even more readers.

· Crafting social media updates (We’ll teach you! We may even do it for you!).

· Writing bright and emotive book descriptions

At Two Stone Lions, we are family, and we understand each other's strengths, weaknesses, and potential because we are all in this together. With the support of a family like ours, the “ups” are more fun and the “downs” aren’t so bad. It’s easier to face the “downs” head on when you have backup.

And you know what? With your team at your back, the “downs” are often less frustrating, and become opportunities for us all to learn from one another.
